HOUSE RULES

Our Sweet Retreat is meant for singles, couples and families who are looking to enjoy and explore the Wilsonville area and beyond (minimum rental age is 25). We want guests to relax but we also hope to be able to continually provide exceptional accommodations because our guests understand they are to leave our property as they found it...clean, neat and tidy. Children should have fun while under the watchful eye of their parents and are not to be left at the property by themselves for any period of time without an adult being present.

  • Completion of a guest information form, guest screening/verification process and a signed rental agreement is required. A security deposit up to $500 as an authorized hold on your credit card is also required. This information will be sent to you to complete after we receive notice of your booking from the platform/channel where your reservation originated and it must be completed promptly for your reservation to be finalized in our system.

  • A guest guidebook will be provided to guests prior to arrival and you must read, acknowledge and adhere to that information during your stay. --The person named on the reservation will be our point of contact and must be present during the entire stay (unless discussed in advance with us). They are responsible to convey the information found in the Guest Guidebook to other guests staying or visiting and ultimately for the actions of those other guests while at the property during their stay.

  • The number of guests specified at the time of booking must match the number of those actually present during the stay. The external cameras will verify the number of guests and you will be billed accordingly if there are more guests than your original reservation states. The maximum amount of guests (including infants) allowed for each unit is: Farmhouse = 8 guests & Detached Studio = 2 adults. The Camping Corner = 2 adults and is a separate seasonal rental unit (May-Oct) for additional space, if needed (please inquire, if interested). The property maximum is 10 guests (or 12, if The Camping Corner has also been reserved) and this applies to sleeping and/or occupying the property (buildings or grounds). See next rule if you'd like for exceptions to be considered or inquire about our venue rental process.

  • Parties are never allowed (including lodging stays of co-ed wedding parties and/or sport teams). Use of the property for events, business meetings or social gatherings during a guest's stay may be considered but are not allowed without a discussion and express permission first (additional requirements and fees may apply) so please ask for more details. If approved, any additional requirements, deposits/fees, etc. related to uses other than lodging will be handled directly with us after your lodging reservation has been processed on the booking channel where it originated. Disregarding this rule will result in immediate eviction and a $1,000 fine.

  • Pets are not allowed. We strive to provide a pet allergy-free environment. Sign of pets on the property may result in eviction and a loss of all booking fees and /or loss of your security deposit. If damages occur, guest will be financially responsible.

  • No smoking or vaping of any kind is allowed. Absolutely, no marijuana or using drugs during your stay. Please drink responsibly and dispose of bottles and cans in the appropriate recycling bins. The internet may not be used for illegal activities. Any violations may result in eviction and a loss of all booking fees and/or loss of your security deposit. If damages occur, guest will be financially responsible.

  • Do not move or re-arrange furniture without permission by the owner. Do not use any form of mounting material to hang things from walls, ceilings, etc. No candle burning, we provide flameless, battery-operated candles for you to use instead. Do not operate indoor fireplace. Outdoor fire pits have specific rules for operating, if not followed, fines may apply. Firewood is provided.

  • Bicycle riding and any water activities on the Willamette River or any other bodies of water are done at your own risk.

  • This property has gone through a rigorous vacation rental permitting process. Any stay or use of the property that violates our maximum occupancy, quiet hours, good neighbor policies, etc. which result in damages, complaints with the city, or puts our vacation rental permit in jeopardy will be subject to a fine of up to $500.

  • Please read the full house rules BEFORE booking to make sure our property is the right fit for your stay/plans

  • Photos shown are examples of the property, guest stays and/or gatherings that may have been hosted and held on-site through a separate venue rental process

  • Quiet hours: 10PM–8AM (no outdoor music past 9:30PM, no fire pit after 11PM)

  • Exterior security cameras at front door, patio & garage (active) + noise monitors

  • Weekly landscaping crew may be present

  • Detached garage is reserved for homeowner use only

GUEST & PROPERTY ACCESS

 

Guests will be given a unique door code and it will be activated for keyless check-in once they have completed the required pre-arrival form sent to them in advance of their arrival date. They will have access to the rental units they have reserved and the exterior grounds that go with them. The detached studio with sleeping loft can only be reserved by the same guests already reserving the farmhouse. The studio space is for adults only and it offers additional sleeping capacity for 2 guests and/or it's ideal for guests who still need to work while traveling. The Camping Corner @ Our Sweet Retreat is a separate seasonal rental unit (May - October) on the same property set apart by a rope fence. The Camping Corner can also be reserved as additional space (2 adults max) or for those who want to experience their own personal glamping getaway. Guests using that space must be 18 years or older since the camper, outdoor bath and surrounding area is intended for adult use only.  If interested, please visit the Camper Page for more details and guidelines. The locked storage room may be accessed by all guests for use of the bicycles, water sports equipment and lawn games on a first come, first serve basis...please ask us for the door key code.
